How about aaa? Premier membership gives you a 200 mile tow once a year. You must wait 10 days to use it however. Plus membership will tow 100 miles 3x a year and can be used right away

Last time I tried to get upgraded to premium it wasn't an option. I will look again today.

Two weeks ago I sold a CJ7 that I had sitting in the garage for the last 15 years, the guy that picked it up had a u haul trailer, they do appear to be well built.

All the rental trailers have a max payload of about 4500 lbs. With a stock 80 weighing in around 6k, there is no way I am going to put an 80 on one. Rumor has it that @Stoshu may have a 10K trailer.
Sorry for not replying earlier Morgan, we've been swamped at work and I haven't had much time to catch up. I recently sold the last of my 2 car trailers that were rated for 14k. I do have a rollback that would work, but would need to shoe horn it in around our work load somehow. If you're not in a real big hurry, we could probably get it done in the next 2 weeks...

Hey Stan, thank you for the generous offer. Since public opinion has persuaded me that the uhaul trailers are sufficient to carry the 80, I will just pick one up once the Ram is all buttoned up.

Many thanks,
Morgan

Not a problem Morgan, if you change your mind the offer stands. I could probably help you out next Sunday if the trailer doesn't work out.

I finished putting my Ram back together this week, picked up a u-haul trailer this morning and headed out to Gary's place to pick up the 92. It definatetly was a lot of pig for the trailer, but got the job done with no issues. Heading down 309 over those mountains towing about 9k lbs was interesting...good thing I have cummins power!

Glad to hear you made the trip safely Morgan. I completely agree with you on the work thing...it's such a cramp on my lifestyle too!:D

It would be nice for a normal work week to be 6hrs a day 4 days a week.

It's nice to be retired.............. wish I was 35 again and retired but that doesn't happen. Heading out this morningm to bring another piggy to Brockton. Stay tuned! Gary

Did you tell u haul you were towing an 80 series?

Yes I did. There was an issue with the uhaul vehicle selection, it didn't have all the options for my ram. I called and they agreed the options were flawed. They ended up entering my tow vehicle as a 3500 instead of a 2500.
