Sheesh...good to see some traction happening on the all things front suspension cycling/understanding in the 100-Forum finally!

Then you get people like Craig (sandiegocruiser) always screaming about radflo failing.... Only to find out he is measuring wrong.... Lol! He is a good guy. But more an IT guy then a mechanic. I'm gonna help him adjust the psi in his shocks this weekend to test if he really wants a softer shock or have them revalved.

Yeah...hopefully he'll publicly apologize to Glenn...that would be the stand up thing to do.

We all eff up!

Rebuilding front Fox shocks, imparting tune changes (Andy at PolyPerformance, where I've ordered my parts, gave me some valuable advice on the valve stack including adding a flutter stack to the slow speed compression side...can't wait to feel the difference and hopefully its good :)).

Fox, as always, is backed up on parts for 2-weeks...hopefully not longer...long story but dinged my front main shock tube so have to replace it.

Rebooting CVs both sides, hub bearings, brake pads and going to swap back to OME864 springs from my current OME868 super heavy duties to get the ride height lowered (again ) as I'd like to get more than 2-years on leaky CV clamps .

Not sure how the guys that are running 21"+ front height are not having leaky CV issues...or maybe they are and haven't figured it out yet.

I know I sound like a broken record but for those of you running mono-tube style aftermarket shocks (Fox, King, Radflo, etc.) be sure you do something to address the exposed shock shafts as if left unprotected from tire spray THE SHAFTS WILL GET BLASTED...and then each time the shock seals push across the damage they'll wear quickly. And then you know what's next...right: Leaky shocks.

And then, of course, the blazingly bright beacon, also called the "spend money light" comes on.

I hear you... Saw that on mine. Don't know that I will rebuild to be honest.... Probably just go back to ome. Less worry and let's face it... These radflo don't get me any where any other shock would. If my kids were older and loved going fast without getting car sick... This would be a different conversation for me.

Got everything back together and did a 4-hour shake down cruise down/back Hwy 1 and 10-miles of dirt trail yesterday. The new flutter stack and compression side tune seems spot on perfect! It significantly reduced suspension roll and made Hwy 1 south of here much more enjoyable. I opted not to change the rebound side, currently at Fox #60, but its apparent I need to increase rebound damping. Tired of working on the rig so upping the rebound tune to #80 or #90 will have to wait until I get back from Utah.

Actually there is one that has me intrigued...Metalcloak Duroflex Joint. But I'm burnt on fawking with more aftermarket crap...
These Duroflex joints have been out for a few years now. Reports are good with the Jeep folks. Anybody have experience with them... or 2nd hand info? I'm tempted to give them a try on my 70 series.
