I not sure what color green my 2000 is but I love it and get complements on the color all the time.

I’d like to see a 100 in Toyota 4X4. Someone in the Pig section is painting his 55 2-tone in white and 4X4 and I like the Tundras I see
In the color:

^^what color code is that brown metallic? That looks beautiful. And I can already imagine the interior on brown color as well. Bravo.

It is color code 4X4

Confusing, I know.

This is my Blue Vapor Metallic under cloudy skies and sun, it's less common than some colors but I don't think especially rare. My favorite for a 100-series is Pacific Blue. There's a local member here with one that just cheers me up every time I see it.

Interesting. Thank you for sharing this. This is now my next favorite color for my Lx after thw pacific blue. It’s rugged and classy clean at the same time.

I have a Pacific Blue Metallic 8R3 with stone interior ... at first I wasn't a fan. But the "Mom Blue" has grown on me.

I know this is taking landcruisers, I have an LX in vapor blue metallic, wondering how similar that is to yours. I wasn’t a fan of the color either but it has grown on me. I don’t have any sun pictures just this one in the shade.

Did you put '06-07 rims on an older model LX? No blue vapor in 2006-07 model.

I did not but someone must have. It’s an 04 with those wheels. I kinda like them though. I’m actually looking for one more of these wheels, someone must had damaged the passenger front and replaced it with a different rim. So that one is not the same.

Any info on why some of the LCs came in two tone?? Was that a factory option? I know most of the LX have the different color bottom molding but don’t see a bunch of LC two tone like mine

I had a white over gray/silver 2-tone 99 that was factory paint. (Same scheme and bottom color as the black rig above).

Yeah it seems from my observations that most of the two tones are on the 98-02. I have not seen many two tone 03-07. And the ones I have seen are almost always the gulf coast package ones.... so I’m wondering how “rare” the two tone non gulf coast package LC are?? Mine is an 05.

Someone in Boise has one in like a baby powder blue. Doesn’t look aftermarket.

Wasn’t a fan, but never seen another one like it.

Of course, you can also have the rarest color that anyone actually likes, Sonora Gold. However, covered in the deep south’s spring snow, which seems to heavy this year, can’t really tell. Unlike if I had that great Atlantis Blue or the Riverock Green Mica, both of which I think are the best.

Whatever happened to actual color names like "light blue", or "turd brown", or "tan", or "maroon"? When did we let the marketing guys hijack common sense? I had "plain ol' black" on the 2000, and my 2004 was "dark blue"...

I'd say when color choices expanded to include multiple shades of greys, whites, and blacks for the same model, they had to differentiate them. But to your point, the name game definitely existed in the muscle car era with MOPAR colors like Sublime Green, Plum Crazy and Panther Pink.
