Looking for a solid cruiser for winter trips to Colorado. Anyone with something nearby?

John @ five 12 seven 48 5677

Will also consider a taco, Sequioa or other 4wd.

There's a 2004 with 75k miles for sale for $20k at Third Coast Auto in Austin. It's in good condition, a few maintenance things need to be done (not major, except the timing belt should be replaced just because it's 12 years old.) I offered him 3 different prices and the guy won't budge. To me, $20k isn't worth it, and kbb and edmunds agree with me as well. Id love to have it but only if he can come down in the price.

Let me know if you look at it, it's pretty clean. I can send you the carfax on it if you want so you don't have to pay for that, and I had it checked out by the guys at Land Cruiser Specialist. I can give you all the details if you're interested.

20k seems about right to me with that mileage, especially if the rest checks out. An 04 sold here in Memphis last year with about the same mileage(75k) for 23. I bought my 04 with just 100k for 19 -- one owner, tip top shape. You can't really use kbb for these trucks. Good luck looking.

I know and it really kind of makes me mad because I use kbb for everything, and then you get to LC/LX and it's really just kind of word of mouth, if the guy says it's worth that much then I guess it's worth that much. Somebody will buy it. It's definitely a great vehicle, for being 12 years old it was in awesome condition. Just a few thousand dollars lower and I'd be driving a LC instead of a jeep.

Copied from another thread but

I have an 06 TLC in Katy with 126K on the clock, owned since 93k and 2012. Brakes, tranny fluid around 113k. Timing belt done at 101k along with power steering flush. It's blue and has some wear and tear for being almost 11 years old but very dependable and cleans up nice. We are contemplating a minivan for the wife now that we have two kids.

Also have a 2013 white doublecab Tacoma with 2.5" lift via King adjustable reservoir coilovers and Icon add-a-leaf. Running 16" TRD wheels and 235-85-16 Firestone MT's. Don't really want to part with it but it struggles a bit with two rear-facing car seats.
