Already wired, right? Rockem for a while and watch the gauge.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether these lights look like they could block enough air flow to cause a heating problem? This is a Sahara bar I just finished installing, and although it's pre-drilled for lights, it just seems like this size light could potentially block enough air to cause a problem.

On the other hand, if a 2UZ is as easy as, say, a SBC to cool, I wouldn't give it a second thought......I just don't have any personal knowledge. Anyone have an opinion?

Won't be an issue

forget the air flow..... im concerned you dont have enough work space to finish installing the wiring.....

Not an expert or anything but it looks like you should be OK. Anybody over there gota scangage you could hook into your OBD2 port and get some real time readings from the computer? I could send you mine.

I have about the same amount of coverage with my damage multiplier and pair of lights. Never been an issue for me.

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD

Thanks to all for the opinions. ntsaint, that's good personal experience for me to reference. Daryl, your offer is appreciated, and also brings up a good question: I remember MMM635 showing us a bluetooth adapter that acted as an OBDII scanner he could access from his iPhone. That was a couple of years ago, and I'm confident the technology has gotten better and cheaper by now. Sooooooo, anyone have a recommendation on a good Bluetooth scanner for iPhone? That'd be one handy tool to have!

Oh yeah... so good, that by the time someone posts, it'll be obsolete!
There's some good ones that bluetooth and some that plug into the bottom of the iPhone... they're cheaper and easier to use. frankly, that's how all the tuners do it...
just search "iphone obd2"

Does look great. Glad you finally got it mounted.

I use Torque Pro on the android. Despite warnings to the contrary, I bought a el cheapo bluetooth OBD plug in. Has worked great for the last 8 months.

ebay was where I bought mine.

I've spent the last hour searching and reading up on these things and best I can tell they are all still over $150 for the full setup and the apps look clunky to me. Kiwi looks to be my preference. Best thread I found.

Also, I already do music, maps and other stuff on my phone when driving. For those two reasons I'm leaning towards scanguage. It was so assumed by the 100 forum that Scanguage was the right choice that when I asked the question back when MMM635 showed up with his that the mods moved my question to the electronic gadget forum. I does look pretty turnkey.

Interested in what you find if you feel like digging into the topic.

I like my scangageII and leave it hooked up all the time in my 80. I can get real time water temprature(not the stupid 80 "gauge"), speedometer correction for oversized tires, engine RPM, and est MPG going down the road. (other options are selectable). I can't tell you how many times I have pulled it out to run codes on another OBD2 vehicle. I actually bought a second cable just for this as the original is threaded through my dash and stays hooked up to the OBD2 port all the time. It was something like $150 if I remember correctly.

I think greg brings up a good point in general. There are great apps for the iPhone/droid. However, will you really ever need the screen outside the vehicle? If you answer is no. Then just go like bossman, and other cars guys I know, just leave it plugged in with a nifty mount over on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Making it portable is cool! That way you can scan other cars!

Technology is best if it's useful.

Tool needed for install in MS in July....spatula... To peel Andy and me off the drive way. It was 90 at 0730. Ridiculous.
