Andy, that's a GREAT looking truck! As for the 90K service, when you're checking prices, you might want to check with Integrity in Richland. I've not used them, but many I know who have comment on how much they like them....... Just a suggestion (that, and get rid of the running boards that NO ONE uses! It'll take a visual 1,000 lbs. off the truck)The new truck is due the 90000 mile service so I made them give me a voucher to do it at their cost. They said it would be $1300 instead of $2000. Perfect place for them!Mine are still sitting behind my garage in memphis.
For what it's worth: it's been my experience that the dealerships are the worst possible place to have any type of non-warranty work performed. Even if it cost more, if it were mine, I would still take it to a reputable independent mechanic. Thanks for the comments on the 100. I had my usual buyer's remorse, but it goes away when I drive it.
I called Gray Daniels Toyota to get an equivalent dealership all OEM parts 90k service and he said $779. I don't know what Herrin Gear was trying to include for $1300 but I'm sure they were trying to appease me without really giving me a good price. I plan on talking to the service manager when I go back to pick up my headrests. They couldn't find the 2nd and 3rd row headrests after I signed the papers, so I made them order me 5 new ones. That must of ate into their profit a bit.
I do plan on taking the running boards off. I figured I would have it a few days before tearing stuff off.

I know this sounds contrary to what you'd think (after all, doesn't a Toyota dealership have factory-trained mechanics that only work on Toyota products?), but my experience says you're more likely to be dissatisfied with a dealership's work than an independent's.............just MY experience over the years. Others here may feel differently.
MY .02 is get the parts from Jacque at TOD take a weekend and do it yourself. Then you know the quality of work and pride of doing it.
