Thats the mileage and color I hope to be shopping for in a year....it's perfect....pending rust as Chris said.

what do yall think of $14k for that? I think $12k will sell it

Low mileage, but almost $15k plus the $600-800 to get it here from VA is kinda high, but 12k plus the trip is pretty reasonable.

I grew up in N.C., not too much farther south than Richmond, and we never had any rust issues with any trucks (broncos, a Trooper, FJ62, POS Ramcharger).

Rust shouldnt be an issue. If you can make the deal I can drive it back. I'll be there for Christmas more than likely.

I appreciate it but I wont be looking until next year. I have to get ride of my 4runner this spring and then when I get back from working overseas ill start looking....

Anybody have a 3rd row they want to sell? Or loan me? I know somebody has a set just sitting in a garage around here...

How long do you need them? Mine are just sitting in my house. Not interested in selling them but if you need them for a trip I don't mind letting you use them.

After trying to figure out how I am going to fit all of this baby stuff in my wife's GX for a road trip, I am toying with the idea of trading my tundra for a 100.

It is a 2008 Crewmax 5.7 L TRD 2wd with ~33,000 and the kbb private party is ~ $25,000. A 100 with an equivalent kbb private party would be a 2005 with ~85,000.

I am looking for a daily driver that I can do some small mods (tires/small lift) to possibly do easy trails some day with the family (I've never wheeled, so this me speculating) and to look cool (just being honest). In some ways this sounds like a good idea to get more room and have another cruiser to tinker with. In other ways, it could turn into a money pit that takes money and effort away from my 40 and I really don't think I would want to tear my daily driver up much on trails. I just figured I would be more likely to drive a 100 to an event, than try to trailer my unreliable 40.

Thoughts?

I would ask yourself how many trips you are going to be doing and for what duration. 1 trip a year isn't worth a new car just to make stuff fit...you could get a bed cover, water proof bags, etc. and just utilize the bed space. (problem is leaving it unsecured overnight if you dont get a bed cap)

look at gas, insurance differences as well.

my .02 cents. I haven't known you to do much hauling of stuff in your truck and a 100 would be easier for parking (wheel base) at the hospital.

I have the same hang up with buying another, newer land cruiser...a desire to mod the heck out of it.....just make a pact with Jen and tell all of us that you ARENT going to do anything except xyz and then stick to it so funding isn't sucked away from the 40.
