100 series AHC query and freight to Oz from IMPEX (1 Viewer)

Finally the day has arrived when the AHC on my vehicle (2005 100 series Sahara) has shown itself to be not immortal, after 330K kms. I am assuming it to be the globes/spheres. Rides OK until a drip in the road at speed when the back of the back of the vehicle bucks more than it aught, as if the shockers in a conventional vehicle were stuffed. The vehicle still goes up and down as required and from H to L, the reservoir changes about 10 graduations. The vehicle has had full airbags in the rear from about new (which are also due to be replaced), as it is fitted with ARB front and rear bars. On the assumption that it is the spheres, I tried to order replacement from IMPEX, but note that they state that they cant ship the likes of these, as they are pressure vessels. So how does one get these to Australia (or the US for that matter). As a note of interest, Toyota want $1600 for each ($6400). IMPEX quote about US$400 plus freight in total for 4 of!

Thanks for that. I have purchased a set via your link. I have 36mm fan clutch spanner I made for a fan clutch associated with a Cummins 6bt in my OKA, so wont be following the M1 to Brisbane! I hope the spheres solve my problems. Attached is the reason for the 36mm spanner.

Congratulations on getting to 330,000 kilometres -- although probably only a half-life for the vehicle!!

This included 'globes' fron Megazip -- although that was in 2019 and I have no idea whether export/import 'rules' from this source is a problem nowadays. Prices were not as sharp as the prevailin Impex prices but a long way better than local alternatives. A website inquiry should reveal all ......

Amayama have a similar restriction on globes/spheres/accumulators/gas chambers being exported by air from Japan but may send stocks by ship to Sydney and sell from there under Australian conditions with GST etc, etc.
