Attorney by education (non-practicing), commercial real estate developer/property investor by occupation........I hate to hear how many in this thread are dissatisfied with their jobs, because my work is my hobby! Not only is it interesting/satisfying 95% of the time, you can make a *^&$%#@! of money doing it!

I'll add: Mechanical Engineer doing design review/quality control on the construction of a new 750 MW, coal-fired power plant for the municipal power company here in San Antonio, TX. Love it.

That was a mouth full FatRabbit..... My buddy is a ME who hasn't even worked in the field yet. He's going for his Masters degree.... lol He's a ranch foreman who makes so much money he's decided not to take a job as a basic engineer anywhere. I think he should though.

I don't remember if I answered this thread or not, but I am a Commercial Deep Sea Diver, working in the Gulf of Mexico on platforms, pipelines etc. We do underwater welding, hyperbaric welding, burning, well killing, and pipeline tie-ins amongst other things.

See my mods thread for pics of me at work.

Hey 1LoudLX....consider yourself lucky driving your 100 at 20yrs old and in school. This is what I drove at that point in my life (and no, I wasn't a pimp):

I went to school for civil / structural engineering, got a job at an industrial engineering firm where one of my claims to fame was designing production / packaging lines for tampons in Venezuela (no joke), considered going back to school for astrophysics, but now am a professional nerd at IBM.

I have to admit I'm a bit jealous of LandCruisers4Life profession....a comercial deep sea diver. You actually have a job that would make a good pick up line in a bar. I always used professional blimp pilot, but your sounds much better.
