I found a great deal on a set of 265/70r17 E-load (10 ply) KO2's. I'm wanting to hear from folks who have experience running 10 ply tires on there rigs unloaded. These will be going on my wife's 4Runner that gets used mostly as a kid hauler, but does get used for trips where off road traction is needed. I like the KO2's on my FJ60, but it's a different animal.

Are we looking at just a slightly stiffer ride or will it be unbearable?

Had some 10-ply, E-rated MT on my FJC a few years ago; NEVER had a single flat ever, and they lasted nearly forever - but the ride was harsh, and you had to air them way down (almost to nothing) to get the sidewall to flex at all.

If you are wheeling in some really harsh terrain with lots of sharp rocks or big thorns, these are just the ticket. Otherwise, they are too hard for me, and I doubt I would buy them again. YMMV.
