Got the one on. Billy had to turn it a lil small cause it wouldnt center up perfect. The way the lil bit its out allowed me to center it in the housing. It will be plug welded and gusseted top/bottom so they'll be fine.

Had to put the shaft/birf it to check :)

I set the pinion at 10* with the castor set at 6* the other way. I'll just tack everything until I can get it under the zuk w/ tires on it to check everything.

High steer is nice, gotta mod it a lil to fit. Gonna heat/bend the lower arms to match the angle of the uppers. Im running mis-spacers on my hiems to drop to a 5/8" bolt anyway so these will take up the angle.

Everything went together well. I wish the housing were 3/16" wider on either side but it will be fine (my screw up). I did notice alot of play in the flange to birf splines...is this common with flanges or 80 stuff? Prol from the full time 4wd wear? I may also have to either cut the cover down as much as possable or notch it for the tie rod to clear. The oem one does in the low steer pos. but ill be using 1.5x.250 and it prol wont. I'll have it all the way to the top arm (less the misalignment spacer) to try and combat this also. Hopefully the tie rod and frame will play nice ;)

Still havent decide what im doing with steering (assist or full hydro). i'll build the tie rod and decide later in the build. The more I build the more a want to do full hydro though.

SWEET

The play in the drive flange should not be there! I have none in mine. However, I would recommend picking up a Cyro'd set from Bobby Long.
There is alot prol .020-.030" Ive heard of the splines on the birfs wearing but not the flanges? Picking up anything from anybody right now just isnt possible :(

The splines wear on both the birf and the flange. Get it taken care of now before they break on the trail.

Great build, I think if someone could manufacture knuckles they would sell well with a custom housing.

Kyle at NWF was going to dial in the knuckles off a mini, but I think the 80 series would be much better with the larger birf?

hy-steer

Would your buddy be willing to make another set of arms. I am building a fj60 front housing with 80 outers as well.

I'll prol have to run em till they break. No budget for longs just yet.

Thanks man, I had to put it on the back burner for now its been holding up progress on the entire build for awhile. Diamiond axle will build anything you want but not cheaply.

We still getting the arms dailed in. On round three now but should be really nice when finished. Once we get them done ill let you know. They take alot of work and wouldnt be cheap.
