Thanks for the info......i love wide tires as well. Do you think a 12mm body lift (like what Loud and Spresso have) would prevent the rubbing?

Maybe not as it would probably rub in the back of the wheel well still when stuffing the tire with the wheel turned, but I honestly couldn't say. I can't even be totally sure it would rub in the first place though. All I know is it would be really close.

Center caps on Tundra 20's

A few months ago, I put Tundra 20's on my LC but didn't alter the original center caps to fit the front wheels. I had kept the original 16" wheel and tire set so I would have a spare tire, but decided to sell them last week when I saw a set of OEM 16" rims with tires from a 2001 LX470 for sale on CL. To make a long story short, the LX centercaps are a perfect fit on the Tundra 20's with no alteration necessary.

This may be a good solution for those with Tundra 20's on their 100's who haven't solved the center cap issue.

Thanks for making this thread, it inspired me to find some tundra wheels. I'm a little unclear on what you had to do to the stock caps to make them fit though. It looks like you just took a little bit of the peak off the fingers? Do they still fit snugly when you put them back onto the 16's?

They still fit on the 16's, but they look bad. It takes some time and patience to sand/file the edges down like you said. You have to keep test fitting over and over to make sure you don't go too far and to ensure you get the angles right. I ended up losing one on the trail and smacking another one up somehow so I'm using the Tundra caps now.

This thread inspired me to find some 20" tundra wheels for my lexi. After months of searching I finally found a set on ebay/craigslist. Will get them sometime next week. They didn't come with any tires but luckily at my work I take off 275-55-20 Bridgestone's off new Denali's with 15-20k miles left on them all the time! Rich people don't like worn tires and tell me to replace them, even when I tell them they're still ok! I was shocked when I started looking at 33" all terrains in 20" rim sizes though. Holy Sh#@.
