Alright Folks, hope everybody is having a great weekend. I've a 07 LX470 we got last year which has been a great bus for my us, we've done 15,000 miles since getting it and love it. About two weeks ago while cruising on the sand with the AHC on high it reset to N and the VSC OFF and VSAC OFF light came on. Drove home and the light never went off! Vehicle still driving great but I've lost the Height control now, it's just in N and I've lost the remote central locking on the key and fob, the interior lights have stopped working also unless it's running or has the key on acc. Same for the central locking also, it locks and unlocks when you take off and have the car running but once it's off it doesn't work. The Air is also working strangely, it never remembers the setting it was on previous and is always at 75 degrees when you start it with no AC and you have to adjust it every time you start it. I'm lost as to what's wrong, I thought it might be one of the three switches son the diff but switched out one and no difference. Vehicle is still driving great but the loss of functions has me rattled as to what It might be, contemplating bringing it to the dealer but would like to see could I get some help here to troubleshoot it first. Anybody encounter anything like this before? Vehicle has 185,000 miles on it, it's been well taken care off, good service history with no evidence of previous issues in the Carfax, We look after it also, get the oil changed and take care of it etc. Cheers for any and all info folks, thank you.

I'd start with checking the battery. It could be dying.
Can easily be checked if you have a multimeter.

Cheers Goose for the advice. Switched out the battery today as it was a few years old with the date code but nothing changed. Once you start it and have her running the Key Fob functions and interior lights work but once it's not running no interior lights or central locking. Might have to succumb to failure here and throw it into the local Toyota dealership tomorrow and see what they make of it. Cheers again.

Sorry to hear you still have the issue. Dealership will usually diagnose for free and then give you an estimate with parts needed and their numbers. Have them check it out tomorrow, if you can, then you can take advantage of the parts sale that's going on through 9/24.

Is the new battery fully charged? Depending, it could just need some more driving, or to be put on a charger if the shop/store did not maintain it.

They'll hit me for an hour labor at least I'd say but I'll get the oil changed while I'm there for the Carfax so we'll make it worth our while. Will let you know what they found out. Cheers for the heads up on the parts sale.

It's definitely fully charged. Gave it a good spin tonight and today and still the same. It's a strange one, everything was good, causing on relatively flat sand on High suspension thinking I was the bees knees and the VSC OFF light came along with the VSAC light and the suspension reverted back to N. My clocks even do a funky dance now when I go to ACC and turn it on. It's mental, they all flicker and kinda seize till they revert back to normal. Tomorrow we're going to the Toyota dealership around the corner and see what they say. Srangely though the remote start and Horn locator(if you were lost in a carpark)works on the FOB but no central locking. It's a weird one, I still love her though!

I'm no electrical expert, that is certain.

The first thing I do when I have electrical issues is make a mental note of everything that has been modified, changed, or replaced.

For example, you have aftermarket headlights. Were the harnesses modified or routed differently and now something is rubbing a wire? That's just an example. But you can go on from there. Alarm? Stereo? Has work been done on the vehicle? Check the harnesses and harness plugs in the area.

After hooking up a scan tool, I would start inspecting Remote start wires.

I've never had the dealership charge me for an inspection. That's how they get people in the door. I do it all the time if I need a second opinion.
If you need an oil change, they'll inspect it without you even asking. I would bet it has something to do with the battery or alternator. Let us know what you find out!
Also, if you change your own oil, you can add your own maintenance to the Lexus Service History. Then people can pull that info using your VIN, if you ever plan on selling.
Lastly, I would go to the Lexus dealership over the Toyota dealership. If you're in Savannah, GA the Lexus dealership website there states that they offer complimentary multi-point inspections. So go there and only get an oil change if you really need one. I know that they are getting pricey.

There are a LOT of issues that can make the VSC/TRAC lights come on, and I would venture that the error codes that cause the lights to come on also disable the ability to raise the AHC. Best place to start is with a code reader, sorry.
