One of the teachers here at school is looking at an 06 Corolla. Anybody got any real experience? A quick check of AllData shows a LOT of pretty serious TSBs that would scare me off of most cars. I've had some really great Corollas, but not for 10 years or so.

Co-worker has one. He puts the key in every morning and it starts and goes. Not a single problem. NOTHING. Typical Corolla experience, this is his third one, his last one was a '93 that he GAVE me as the fuel and brake lines rotted off.

Another co-worker had one till about a month ago, traded it for a new Prius. Same experiece.

The 2 biggest ones I can recall are TC015-07 and EG042-07. The latter could leave you stranded, both of those require replacement of the ECM/PCM, a simple task except for inputting the VIN.

We hardly ever saw any other issues, just the noisy belt tensioner and leaky timing chain tensioner o-ring.

Solid vehicles. Seen hundreds of them and one of the most steady and reliable cars on the market.

nothing major i work at toyota and the only recall we do to those is the ECM and just write the vin.but they are good little commuter cars.
