Bought a trailer receiver a and had the receiver installed a while ago, never got to installing the wiring harness until recently and cannot for the life of me find the wiring harness. Dropped the rear spare and the looked all over but it's no where to be found. YouTube and the directions show it readily accessible but that has not been my experience. Directions also say there is a protective boot covering the plug but the only plug that I've found is not the correct shape. Any help is appreciated!

I apologize for the poor Grammer, didn't have a stroke while typing this just distracted. To clarify i couldn't find the appropriate connector under the truck for the provided wiring harness.

The picture you have of the undercarriage shows the correct connection. Your trailer harness (aftermarket??) is a 4 pin connector though and the factory one is 7 pin. You'll either need to do some splicing or find an adapter.

Other option is to get the oem trailer harness. They are ridiculously expensive.

What year is your truck?

It's an 05, thanks for the info, maybe I can get an adapter.

That 7 pin female connector for the trailer side, is pretty much impossible to source by itself.

I thought I remembered rumors of a Tundra/sequoia adapter that might work…but again, NOT A SOLID MEMORY.
I’ve slept a few times since sorting out my 99 trailer wiring.
