I'm getting ready to pick up an 05 or 06 4Runner and I had a few questions.

Can you retrofit some of the items that a Limited comes with onto an SR5?

I'm thinking specifically of heated mirrors, but I'm sure there are others.

anything is possible but it will be cheaper to just get the Limited or SE. The SE comes with many of the Limited's features at a price only a little more than the SR5.

Besides, right now you can get a great deal on any suv. I think Toyota is offering big rebates/cash back on the suv's and trucks now.

in toyotas earlier days they would make one wire harness for all the trucks. some of the accessory plugs were just not used in a base model. chances of that remaining the same re good on a new one. just remove the door panel and see if you can find an orphan plug.
