03 GX470 CDL light always blinking (1 Viewer)

I bought a 03 GX470 with 180k miles recently. As soon as you start the vehicle the CDL light blinks like its trying to engage. Obviously pushing the button doesn’t do anything. Here’s what I’ve tried so far
Swapping switches
Checking fuses
tapping the motor with a rubber mallet
Has anyone ever have a CDL failure where it just blinks all the time?
I would appreciate any input
