Hello there,
I was wondering if anyone out there had replaced the front seats in their 01-04 Tacoma, and what sort of success they experienced..? I had been pondering the seats from an FJ Cruiser, but am open to suggestion.
Thanks so much,
Ronn

I replaced mine with some junkyard seats from a Suzuki Reno. These seats were the correct width and more importantly the seat rails were the correct width. The mounting feet are different so it's not a bolt in swap. But I cut off the feet from both sets of seats and welded the Toyota ones on the Reno seat tracks. Then they bolted right in. Swapped over the female end of the seatbelts too. They are slightly taller driving position but I don't mind since I'm 5'8". The side bolsters are much better and there is more adjustability than with the stock seats.

Overall I've been very happy with the swap. I paid $80 for the pair of seats.

Hey, nice job folks ! Those look great, in a comfy comfy way.
Off I go to the car graveyard...
Thanks ever so much !

I want to get some 3rd gen 4Runner sport seats for my recently purchased Tacoma one of these days. Now that I'm a little older that 60/40 is nowhere near as nice to my back as I remember back when I had my first Tacoma.

I think the seats in my Tacoma are it's worst feature. I may pull the trigger on a pair of Recaro's in the near future $$$.
