Hi all, 1. ENGINE: Can some please confirm if this the attached pic indeed looks like a 3B engine from a 1989 BJ.75 Troop carrier? Also, why some engine components look like red/rust colored? 2. NO H4 BUTTON: On the 89 troopy, would it be normal to NOT have the H4 button on dash?

How long do you wait after the engine has switched off to check the engine oil? Manual states to wait a "few minutes" I do it at 5 minutes others at 3,10,8...etc I don't think it makes much of a difference I'm just curious.

Followed instructions on valve adjustment and happy with the result. While I was at it; pulled plugs and cleaned, adjusted plug gap to what's stated in Haynes Manual, adjusted points air-gap, cleaned up rotor, adjusted mixture, adjusted idle, and lastly adjusted timing. Rig runs much better...
