I know there's a lot of variables with this question, but trying to get a rough estimate of how tall my fj60 is going to stand with new OEM springs and a SOA with 33's or 35.

Thanks for all your help with this.

I think a SOA with stock springs and 33" might look kind of funny. I would guess you could add 5.5"-6" plus the difference in tire size.

Ryan.

isn't it common to use stock springs or evening flat springs for SOA?

Mine sits at 77" with de-arched heavy-duty OMEs and 35" MT/Rs on 8" rims.

SOA on stock spring add a leaf in the rear, shackle reversal with extended shackles in the rear. tires are 35x12.50 on a 15x10 wheel.

Your probably hitting 80"+ inches don't know if my garage can handle that...yikes.

Thanks! How much more or less of an arch does you OME have compare to a new set of stock OME's?

Dunno, mine are completely de-arched, but it's tough to give you a measurement because my OME's had been under the truck for about 8 years before they were de-arched, the last two of that already SOA. Here's a shot of my Cruiser to give you an idea of how it sits:

Thanks, Nice FJ!

My garage has a 83.5" opening and I can drive in but only with 1"-2" on clearance. I am running 35's with stock springs and an add-a-leaf at each corner.

First pick is 35's, stock springs and add-a-leafs.
Second pic is 33's and stock springs only.

Did you have to use wheel spacers for the 15 x10's?
And did you "Add-a-leaf" to clear the 35"s or just to get some extra lift?

If you can wait a couple of days I'll have pics of before and after with tapes on the fenderwells as well as the bumpers : )

full write up to come but I'll get basics out first.

No wheel spacers, you can check the "what wheels will fit" thread for the part number if you want it.

I put the add-a-leafs on because I was bottoming out the rear and the ride was too soft (hence the bottoming out). I still get excellent articulation with the add-a-leafs in.

The sliders are not completely boxed and will bend when abused, we made them the weekend before my first McGrew Trail Ride for some protection. If I end up being able to keep my 60 I would love to get a set 2badfj's sliders. These do work fine, but have the potential of bending up pretty good if you abuse them. The step works great and I covered it with some Austrialian diamond plating to match my Kaymar rear bumper. I can send you more pictures and details if you have further interest, just send me a PM.
