Timing chain cover oil leak - what else do I do when I fix this leak?

I will have to address the head gasket when doing this seal is what I meant. Most other stuff typical items on the front of engine have been done. Was not sure about what to do inside that cover and how far it would have to be opened to get this done.

I run 5w40 oil. If I go thicker could that slow the leak temporarily? If so what should I change to. Thanks if anyone can help.

Yep two leaks on the oil pump cover one on top and one on bottom both near the idler pulley. The one on top drains over the timing chain cover and out near the power steering pump.

Oil leak near oil pump please help on what parts are needed

All were replaced less than 2 years and 5000 miles ago. The distributor is dry. That is why I am looking at other options as to why this leak is happening. I bought new seal and screws for the oil pump cover. I could swap it again but if I am going to the trouble I wanted to make sure I was...

Does anyone have cad plans for a rear bumper with swing out? I have access to cad and the equipment to cut, bend, and weld the bumper but need plans for one that does not require removal of the rear cross member.

I cannot get the rails off. Is there a trick not in the instructions? I am trying to follow the instructions on wits end website. I have the front feet off and the bolt on the back of the rails but the rollers seem to be hanging up and will not let the lower rail come off the seat. Please...

    Rear Bumper and Slider Build

Agreed, I am going to try the wanted page before I build. My hope was to get some direction for a shop that has worked on the 80 series previously. Maybe hopeful wishes only.

    Rear Bumper and Slider Build

I am looking to have sliders and rear bumper built locally since my budget does not allow for a purchase from vendor along with the shipping costs. I am no fabricator nor do I have access to the tools to complete a build. I would be willing to put my engineering skills to work but would like...

Finally some interior going in after the nutserts were fixed to keep the roof rack attached. They were stripped during the painting by the previous owners body shop. I cannot decide on the bumper because I don't want to cut the cross member. Are there other options other than slee which costs...

    Purchase Advice

I just bought my first one and feel like I paid out the nose. Supposedly a truck with 215k and a replaced drivetrain with less than 120k. It is locked and no rust. I shopped for twelve months. So I feel your pain. It is a locked Lexus. The previous owner spent big bucks on the restoration...

    Rear wiper not working

Connector between switch/relay or relay/motor? Mine works when the backseat door and rear hatch is open. But when you push the switch in the rear door jamb the wiper stops immediately. I also noticed the inside lights are not turning on when the rear gate is open. Could that switch be broken...
