I am looking to have sliders and rear bumper built locally since my budget does not allow for a purchase from vendor along with the shipping costs. I am no fabricator nor do I have access to the tools to complete a build. I would be willing to put my engineering skills to work but would like to start with a set of plans if someone has some drawings I could use to start with.

Does anyone have a contact for a fabricator/machine shop that has done this work in the South Mississippi, SE Louisiana, or South Alabama? I live on the coast and would be willing to travel to Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Mobile, or Pensecola if I could find a fabricator with experience building such things for 80 series. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what the market is like where you live, but sometimes you can get used quality stuff at bargain prices. Going to someone who has never built stuff specific to your vehicle will be more expensive in more ways than one. Trust me.

Agreed, I am going to try the wanted page before I build.

My hope was to get some direction for a shop that has worked on the 80 series previously. Maybe hopeful wishes only.

I know it's a drive, but I remember a thread for a shop in Houston doing some cruiser work. @scottryana had something done by a Houston fabricator. Now that I think about it I believe it was a roof rack, but maybe they did more.

Tbone, I live in Spanish Fort and, like you, am trying to find a group of Cruiser heads with more tech ability than me (which ain't much!). Let me know if you find anything and I'll do the same.

Thanks. Would be good to find a resource.

If you haven't already done so, you should check with the Mississippi club, Cotonland Cruisers. There are also clubs in LA and Bama. Click on the Clubhouse tab at the top of the screen and scroll down to the various regional clubs. There is bound to be someone in those local clubs that has been down this roads ahead of you.
Good luck.
