35 in tires on 100 series.

05JLX450 has a point. 34”s are a great size and don’t require near as much tough love and money to make them fit.

More sidewall give you a smoother ride.

35 in tires on 100 series.

Yes you’ll need to beat the —— out of the pinch weld. Wheel spacers will keep the tires from rubbing your UCAs. Go with the 1.25” Slee front spacers and 1” rear Tundra spacers so you don’t have the tears sticking out more. BFG tires run small, so you might not have to do much to get them to...

    37s - anyone done it?

I am slowly working towards this. Already have the 5.29s and transfer case gears. Need to sort out how much body lift I can get away with with the DT headers and attack the firewall. Please post more pics and info of your setup MTKID.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Added rear Power Stop pads and rotors after my drivers side rear caliper bracket seized and bound the caliper up. New calipers, brackets, and brakes feel great! Also tossed on some Air Lift bags to get my saggy ass back up to snuff. The air bags smooth my ride out a lot. Pumped up to 30psi...

rear suspension recommendation for additional load

This is the kit I purchased. You'll want to take some measurements before you pull the trigger. Air Lift 60927 1000 Universal Air Spring Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018O94ZK4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_eD7QTnWCR9sYj Still cheaper than a new set of coils.

rear suspension recommendation for additional load

If you're not going to be building too heavy, I'd opt for air bags. I just installed some over the weekend

    larger tires without lift

If you are wheeling with the 4-speed transmission you need to regear it or you'll be missing out on liveable power. 35s or 37s, get 5.29s and 3:1 transfer case gears. 4.88s are better for 5-speed rigs. I ran 315/75R16 Fierce Attitudes (stock wheels no spacers) on stock suspension with...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

We have two little ones in car seats and my wife is 5'3". After lifting, 315s, and no running boards... she requested sliders that could be used as steps. I found a White Knuckle DIY slider kit for $125 and a buddy in Austin helped me weld them up. They were set up with low pitch so she...

Nice hundred. I love that color.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Nobody that I called said they were available. You just have to know where to look. Georg @ Valley Hybrids helped me source most of the parts. You'll need an 80 series rear carrier to make it happen. It's like having stock performance again. It's perfect with 35"s if you have a 4-speed

    33's or 35's for my 100 series

The tire size is supposed to be a 34.6" I can say without a doubt that particular tire will fit on an IFS rig with minor rubbing until it can be lifted. They barely clear the UCAs but also tuck in the wheel wells when flexed. You can crank the stock torsion bars a little bit to help clear...

    33's or 35's for my 100 series

I ran 315s on my IFS 1999 UJZ100 on stock suspension for several months. The same set of tires was run for several months on our LX450 when it was bone stock. The particular tire is a 315/75R16 Fierce Attitude MT. I beat the pinchweld flat and trimmed the plastic fender liner where it was...

    Considering a 100 series

I'd avoid 4speed models with hindsight being 20/20. The only redeeming attributes for 98/99 was factory rear locker and factory rear air conditioning. My wife LOVES the rear air in ours because she's always worried about the kiddos getting too hot.

    Steering rack / bushing opinions

I love the results of replacing my old rack bushings with Whiteline Polys. Night and day difference.

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I took my 1999 100 to Barnwell Mountian to test my new gears out after putting some miles on them. Mostly 3 star and bunny trails. 5.29s with the 3:1 t-case gears turned the 315s much easier :smokin:

    33's or 35's for my 100 series

315s are a sweet size if you get the right tire. Mine fit without spacers or rubbing the UCAs and tuck nicely. Just nip and beat the pinch weld flat. Here's my 1999 No body lift or bump stop extensions... for now.. Minor rubbing in rear inner wheel wells. I'd recommend regearing your...

    New Guy OME Help

Georg at Valley Hybrids also has a lot of great suspension systems available that are run over in harsh environments like Australia. Make a budget and figure out how to get the best parts you can for that amount of money. I'd look in this order. Icon King Terrain Tamer Slees custom shocks...

    15+ MPG now ...

Holy crap. I am getting 11-12mpg, sometimes in the single digits down here in Texas. I am running heavy on 35"s with stock gears and 4-speed though.
