With each passing week of December I’m inching closer to the edge of my seat knowing it’s ever more likely we will hear an announcement that day. Anyone else feeling this? Today must be the day😂
I'm glad the snow melted for you, we were mid-July and just about two weeks too early to get across Webster or Pearl Passes. Strange how the snow melts last on the south side of the mountain. Definitely looking forward to VII!
First off I just want to add my appreciation as a first time LCDC attendee that @indycole and @codyaustin5 put this event together. It must take a tremendous amount of time under the best of circumstances and we all recognize this wasn't that, it was a lot more. Thanks to you guys.
LCDC was...
Just FYI, this is the top of Webster last week, snowed in on the Handcart Gulch side of the pass. It was still worth the trip as that is such an amazing little valley and we got to see a massive bull moose.
Glad I put the Frontrunner 10+ gal tank on my rig for this trip along with a short hose with nozzle. It’s one of my favorite mods now after the last two weeks of dispersed camping on our way (slowly) to LCDC. Sounds like it’s going to come in handy there as well!
Sorry for the slow reply, we left two weeks ago and are currently doing a bunch of the trails from prior LCDC’s around Ouray so only get signal when filling up. I’m on the lookout for a spot at Ansel and if one doesn’t open up will likely disperse camp with anyone else in the same boat. Thanks...
I'd be interested in picking up a used Gobi ladder, great Idea @mcgaskins. I can bring a nearly complete set of LED interior replacement bulbs I bought before I realized my 2016 already had them🤦 if you have a pre-led truck and need them look me up in FC.
Good find, we may be checking that spot out as well if we end up having to be as far out as Kelly Flats what's another mile or two? I'm guessing its an hour drive to downtown.
@tincan45 I'll be hoping a spot opens up at Ansel by a late cancelation so let me know if you hear of someone who's plans change. My back up is Kelly Flats since it seems to be the only one in that corridor that is first come first served and therefore technically still has availability for our...
Has anyone decided to cancel that has reservations at Ansel Watrous? We would like a spot there to be near some of the others if possible but it's booked up. Alternatively, has another location also got some traction with our group for camping I should check dates on?
News today from the Hundreds in the Hills guys doesn't sound very promising either. Events/Trails - 10th Annual 100s in the Hills! *Silverton, Colorado July 22 - 27 2020*
If there is a bypass for The Chutes section I saw on YouTube I suspect it will get used, it looks real ticklish. If there isn’t a bypass I’ll ride with you😇
Kelly Flats looks legit, may have to warm up for that one.
Seriously though, it's so much fun to look these up, thanks for sharing your thoughts so far.
This is something I’d consider more so than meeting up at indoor venues. The social aspect of this trip is a big draw for me but we are inclined more than ever towards a fresh air version of getting together given the current uncertainties.
My inclination is to do the same, especially since in 12 years living in Denver I never made it up to Fort Collins. I am torn though and am wondering where the social hub of this event will end up being, in town or up in the campgrounds? Basically just want to lay my head down closest to where...
All in, including my wife and 14yr old daughter. We were so excited we had to go find a little taste yesterday. Turns out my wife likes to drive after all.
We can't wait to meet all of you and hope there will be a good showing of families as well.
Agreed, those trucks are pretty long but they did seem to cut the corners off a bit. I've never used Turn Assist is it of any use in situations like these?
