Just wanted to pass along that I have confirmed it is possible and being done. If this is common knowledge, it's news to me. You can use Techstream under "health check" or a Snap-on OBDII scan tool to pull the ECU calibration ID # which is what’s needed to rewrite a custom file.
Here are some...

"Offset Lower Links:
When we designed the rear long travel suspension system for the FJ Cruiser/4Runner, we quickly realized a flaw in the Toyota suspension links' design. With the increased suspension travel the links contact the axle housing not allowing for full...
I know there are a few heavily modified GX's running bigger tires, but wanted to see if anyone was running 37" tires with the stock suspension width? Currently running 1.5" Spidertrax to clear the 35's, but it does rub just a bit on the frame in the front at full flex and full lock. Stock wheels...
I asked an 80 guru and he had never done it before so I have to ask. Is it possible to bolt on the larger rotors and calipers from a FZJ onto my FJ front axle? To me it looks like I would obviously have to remove the air cooler thing around the rotors and possibly need longer caliper bolts...
I will be swapping in a full-float sometime this spring and wanted to gauge interest on the axle shafts to anyone who might want backups for trail spares.

Does anyone elses look like this?
How would they get bent if the spring isnt really even contacting them, most of the time anyway. Guess I will be prying them back and adding a gusset to keep it from happening again.
Perfectly maintained. Runs strong. Includes all ECM's and wiring.
Only thing I can think of I'll be keeping is the factory airbox......MAYBE!
Piece by piece or all as one.
Make me an offer.

Am in the process of collecting info on a 4bt swap, And yes im on the waiting list.... Would it be crazy to keep the A440 w225k on it, with an adapter, in lieu of opting for a new 700R4? If it ain't broke don't fix it right?
I know they have proven they can handle the hp of a V8 tbi swap...

So I just put in a new alt and thought it would fix my problem of my headlights not working. NOPE! Stereo powers on fine now, which was turning off intermitently and cutting out before the new alt, but headlights are still not working at all...
Alright, I am in the process of converting all my cooling system back to the Toyota stuff. Got the fan clutch, ordering the radiator and thermostat tomorrow. I read the aftermarket radiators last between 3-5yrs. My fan coupling has lasted 4 and the radiator too, I think. My water pump is exactly...
Ok, engine has been randomly running hot here and there lately. It is not just while idling or at highway speeds, so pretty sure its not the fan clutch. New thermostat and fan clutch two years ago along with a new radiator. The old one had about 20lbs of sediment in the bottom! Could power...
