I own a part time4wd 80 series and need to know if the auto lockers are any chop compared to a much more expensive air locker?
I realise all the differences but need some real time experiences.
The seal between my 5 speed manual gearbox and transfer is leaking.
Im fairly sure the auto has the same setup .
I know its dodgy [my middle name] but has anyone used some seal swell type additive to stop leak and work?
I will fix it at some later stage but need quick fix for now.

My wifes been driving the cruiser for a few days and noticed some pulling to the left.I had a look and the rim was black with brake dust.
Removed wheel and found a SEVERLY SEIZED caliper.
Will get both calipers rebuilt tomorro.
12 years of hard braking with barely a look in is not bad.
Need her...
Installed my new second hand E.C.B. roof rack today .
Weighs about one third as much as my old steel one and looks better to boot.

spent a few days fabricating this .May not be as flash as a O.M.E console but it does the trick for us.
Designed it to hold two STUBBIES in the front pocket.
Used all original threaded holes already in body.

need info on how to delete old pictures from attachment list, after they are no longer being used, so that it frees up more attachment/pic space. can anyone help me with this?
get my first air locker next week.Will be doing some hard wheeling to test after install. Is there a huge difference in 4WD ability?I hope so for the price.

:beer: Installed two new bucket seats in the rig this arvo from a GXL cruiser. I have a base model wagon.Going to fab up a center console during the week.Aus spec poverty packs have 1/3 2/3 front seats. All in all a very good change.
coming home from work yesty and a funny noise from rhf wheel . stopped and looked , bottem caliper bolt gone and top one loose {gulp} Drove home slowly . tapped out one size bigger and added new h/t bolts . all good now .any one else had this problem ? :beer:
been a toyota mechanic for 6 years and rebuilt at least 150 cruiser front ends and never split a birf . why do some find it so neccessary? you can clean and repack ok while together. :doh:
