I threw a P1120 with the accompanying VSC lights and the LC was in "limp" mode. So I just replaced the APPS as per FSM and I am now idling at 1100-1200 rpm (FSM states 700 +- 50). I have read the FAQ. I have removed and reinstalled the unit twice, resetting the ECU each time, no luck. I looked...
A friend wants to buy my stock Toyota receiver, and according to CDan they are not only discontinued but they cost $1000 when you could get them.
So, is there any demand for these currently or should I just sell it to him cheap?
I'm replacing my rear axles and going RDB. Do I need to get the studs and backing plate and gasket (green arrows in pic) for the new axle, or can I just bolt the rotor on?
On an SOA if I move my pinion farther "forward" than I do down, is a cut and turn still necesary?
i.e. I am SOA now but I also reversed the front springs and added a Toybox. The pinion is now so far from the t-case it looks like I'll need the rear DS from a 60. The case is at 2 degrees from...
What is the distance from the top of the frame to the bottom of the floor at the factory crossmember on a 40? basically i need to know how far above the frame my new crossmember can be without hitting.
On the bottom of the Toybox is a mounting point that closely resembles the one on the bottom of the H42 where the crossmember attaches, but the bolt pattern is narrower on the Toybox. Is this the same pattern as the stock pickup transfer case mount?
I want stuff out of my yard, so I'm having a "yard sale". If a price is unreasonable make me a (higher!) offer.
~Complete set '40 axle shafts - front inners and birfs, and both rear axles, all in great shape $200
~JT Outfitters mounting bracket for a Saginaw pump for PS for a 40. Attaches...
Does the driver side front motor mount on a 3fe that has the setup to hold the alternator have the same bolt pattern as the corresponding 2f motor mount?
It occurs to me that it could be a good starting point for a bracket to hold the '60 PS pump.
Does Toyota still sell the o-rings for the outer piece of the Aisin hubs? I beleive it may be part 83 in $OR's diagram, but 4.26 is a little pricey for an o-ring.
Which, theoretically, should be stronger:
T-case mounted disc emergency brake
RDB mounted e-brake (basically cable actuated rear calipers on an RDB conversion)
Either would set me back about 5 bills, so which is better? I am thinking a t-case mounted disc would have better grab by a...
Anyone done this and have some pics to help inspire me? I have the brackets from the air pump and the PS to start the booty fab with. I don't want aftermarket, I want to put the Toyota PS pump right where my air pump is myself
