Looking to buy a set of JDM factory running boards for my 80 series. My mother has a tough time getting in and out so I'm hoping to make her life a little easier. I'm in Edmonton. Thanks.
Update: Found!
I once had an issue with diesel getting into my oil on my hj60, I was referred to automotion just west of Princess Auto on 111ave. The gentleman at the counter pulled up diagrams and very quickly determined the issue being a small O-ring I was fairly impressed. Maybe go check them out. They...
I'm tentatively in with my LX. Heads up to anyone coming up from the south the bridge south of Pembina Forks on 40 is closed and almost got washed out as of last weekend.
Is someone stealing your diesel at night? Are you running 44''s on stock gears?
But in all seriousness is your transmission shifting properly and in good condition?
Bought 1ft of chain for $3 and Home Depot and cut the links in half as tie down points.
Coated with POR15 and tossed it up on the roof. All I really need to do now is fab up some driprail clamps. It's actually 1'' lower than the factory roof rack believe it or not.
...it. It's stainless steel too, but she sold it to me for the scrap steel price because it was five minutes before close and "she didn't give a f**k anymore".
This is the rack without the sunroof insert attached:
And the sunroof tray on it's own. Overall it's 73lbs all in, which is...
I paid $50 for the key and they cut it for free at Lexus of Edmonton. They didn't have to send anything out to get cut, but I did have my key code that's on my slim credit card key plastic case. This was not even a month ago.
Nothing really more than what you see. It my opinion the 60 suits the boxier rack due to a "boxxy" looking body. I'm sure one would look just fine on an 80 series if done right though.
Finally got around to making this addition to the rack. I want to be able to look up through the sunroof an...
Started fabbing up the driprail mounts, everything sits where I want it at this point. I found an old closet coat hanger bar in the scrap bin, without even having to cut it down it was the perfect length for a wind deflector.
I picked up some off-cuts of diamond plate aluminum, we'll add...
...as open as possible.
Light weight: The tent weighs 100lbs, if I don't keep this thing as light as possible I'm going to roll my truck on a 25* incline. My goal is 60lbs, but if I can keep it under 75lbs I'll be happy. Unfortunately aluminum is not an option due to cost.
I had some spare...
Yes it's a Russian address, but the phone number is Calgary 587 local. Just call her, it's easier. If you look on Ironman Canada's website they're the recognized Canadian distributor.
I picked up sway bar mount kits for my 80 for $15 each last week. Quality stuff you couldn't build for less.
