I took out my brackets to prime and repaint them and when taking them out my previous owner decided not to purchase the correct size towers and just added like 69 washers here and there to raise it high enough for the attachment points as well as where the actual bolts connect the seat to the brackets … anyways completely McGuyvered…

Anyways I took the time to purchase the taller towers as he had just decided to use the smaller ones (took a pic so you understand what I mean by that)

My question is this…while I’m waiting to get those in the mail I’m looking at how it connects to the new seat I got and I’m running into a little trouble attaching the slides to the seat to the bracket….?
It’s not the same as the drivers side so I can’t just copy what I did on that side…take a look at the pic I also took for your reference.
My idea is to just take the sliding portion of the bracket off to connect to the bottom of the seat with pointed to hole in pic with my finger pointing to connection bolt hole,
then attach the sliding portion inlets to the bracket and then just slide the seat on that portion - viola
Buttt I can’t get the sliding portion off? An I doing something wrong - is that portion not actually able to slide out and off?? Or is it just gummed up - I spray with wd40 and still unable to come out past barely a quarter of the way before coming to a half (picture where. My hand is showing the distance is moves before stopping (I assumed it would slide all the way off if I tried to keep sliding out).

Drill out those divets and the slide will come out. ( the little punched down tabs ), sometimes you can get in there and twist/push them up or drill from opposite side, push tab up, remove slide, then you can puch them back down if needed. I just drilled em out, faster.

OR you can take the stops off the slide, sometimes they are rivet/screws and sometimes its a bent/punched tab for the stop that can be flattened.

Bracket towers difference in size (small ones vs taller ones (pictures) … po used a combo of both when he could have just ordered 4 tall towers to make it so both sides connection points actually fit up to bracket connection… so I ordered 2 more tall ones so I did it properly and connection point is actually where the brackets connect to back tower points (pictured to show you space between.
Not sure how he used those small ones and figured it was safe but anyways I’m the type of person who likes to do things correct.

I’m looking at them and don’t see what your talking about - the side with the pull adjuster to allow for sliding back and forth when sitting in seat and when pressing actuation level in to allow for the slide of mechanism it only goes to that length (which exposes the bolt holes for connection to bracket on back side - then sliding back the other way allows for access to front bolt holes - but the mechanism doesn’t allow me to fully slide them all the way off (as I saw on Corbeau info sheet / installation info/video on their site). Maybe I need to put a call into them.

I’m pointing to what I think your talking about as far as rivits your referring to as what you said for me to drill - are those what your speaking to?

Yes, that last pic , that bump & the similar bumps on your pic with 2 fingers, those are the stops, you might be able to force them past with a good pop from BFH, removal is easier, IMO.
