I am local to this guy selling his 1996 Lx 450. It has no lockers, paint is shot and it has rust. He wants 10k for this Lx with only 91,000 miles and I am trying to figure out what a decent counteroffer would be. Or should I run away and keep looking due to the rust. I climbed under the Lx and poked around for 20 minutes and couldn't find any holes anywhere but it is definitely rusty. I am new to this and I am originally from an area without rust so seeing this scares me. This is one of the nicer LC/LX I have seen in this area since everything rusts really badly but I don't want to buy this one just because it is close. I have no problem traveling if this type of rust is a deal breaker.

Those springs are shot. The front driveshaft is going uphill not to mention the “new” shocks are completely bottomed out. The rust...never settle for rust...PASS

Don't settle for it.

That 80 wasn't a native, I can promise you - keep looking, cash is king & you can afford to wait for a quality 80.
