Not sure if it came with all 40s, but the 2F crank nut (and earlier motors) is set up to allow it's use.
Pic stolen from the webs. Note that it's tapered to allow it to slip (in theory) to prevent the handle from spinning wildly once the engine...
I occasionally still get to use some of my dad's tools that I inherited. Most of them were crap cheapo stuff though.
Other than woodworking, my son has more tools than I do.
Years back, I worked at a trucking company and in the shop we had a small (1-2 gallon) portable gear oil dispenser. It was hand cranked and small enough to carry and get on/under trucks where it was needed. I have been searching for one to use...
Interesting. So did someone modify the spare gas can swing-out to mount an additional spare tire? What year is the Troopy?
Pretty sure the rear springs are the same although they came in normal or heavy duty. Spring hangers would be the same...
I think in the second video he shows the lap weld back where the joint is facing upward ( or downward?)so water would be hard to get to? I might be wrong about this as I was my third beer. 👍
I can't really afford Mcintosh, initially it sort of fell into my lap because it didn't work and I had cash and ive sort of hunted it ever since, but at the end of the day I could never afford one that runs.
Just like landcruisers.
Nice ones that...
I was thinking he would be living in the pig.....since it looks like he doesn't have a living room at the moment - based on his last house rebuild update anyway. 😂
They pop up in a lot of the build threads but here's an entire thread: FYI - Kenda Klever R/T KR601.....NEW size on the way..... 33x9.50R15LT - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/fyi-kenda-klever-r-t-kr601-new-size-on-the-way-33x9-50r15lt.1248468/...
They have been on the market for a few years now. I read the buzz in the 40 forum and bought a set about a year and a half ago. I like them a lot. I still have a set of the BFGs on the SWB with less than a thousand miles on them. The contact...
The blade assembly and the inserts are both NLA from Toyota. Take one of the inserts (assuming you still have the original holders) to your local parts house and match it with a generic.
Hello, all!
I bought a carburetor from City Racer LLC back in November, when I first picked up my 40 project. Between ordering and delivery, I quickly discovered that I had way more to fix than I first assumed, and my project scope went from a...
I have a set of the split rims. They are quite different from the "widow makers" used on older US trucks.
Totally safe to do a tire change yourself.
Glad that Ens came through at such reasonable prices.
I would think the only disadvantage of...
My son and I scrubbed and scrubbed today. Just trying to get the Pig stye smell and grime out. We pulled the mats today, hit everything with a bucket/sponge bath of warm water and dawn dish soap and a good vacuuming. The front floor boards are...
For those of us with MVS (multiple vehicle syndrome) swappabiliy is a factor in tire choice. So even though you might consider the Kendas overkill for the 55, trust me your other rigs won’t mind borrowing them from time to time.😉
You might want to keep that a theoretical lesson as opposed to a practical lesson. One backfire and that's a broken arm. Not trying to be Debbie Downer but that's a serious concern. On the practical side though, it's a great tool to use when...
