Hey all
I know there are members who do outstanding jobs of rebuilding and selling FJ40 2F carbs.
I’ve been searching in mud and can’t find their contact info or websites. I’ve tried to send messages. Is there an existing resource list already?
If not..can someone please post a contact list...
Ok- here is situation: ‘78 fj40 w/‘75 2f
when putting in my new fuel tank, I tried to get all fancy with vacuum lines and charcoal canisters and when I drive above 40 the fj40 stalls out from fuel starvation. The only thing left for me to undo is the setup I tried for the tank venting. I read...
Yes old set up worked fine
Old set up was mechanical + inline elect
New set up is same
I’m wondering if my mech fuel pump
May be bad??
It just doesn’t make sense because nothing changed ffom old to new set up except new equipment
Hey all
So I a little perplexed.
‘78 FJ40
I replaced the fuel tank, all lines, fuel filter.
Put a new inline electric pump to help with the orig factory fuel pump
Prior to me replacing the tank, lines etc she was running fine
Now after all the new equipment…she bogs down going about 40...
Yeah
That’s exactly where I’m at…every time I think I know what I need to get …I read someone’s opinion that throws a curveball into my plan
I’ll check out iron pig thanks !
All
I’ve searched and the results are overwhelming and all over the place with opinions and suggestions. What I need help with is a straight forward list of parts I need to convert a 1978 FJ40 (uS-LHD) that has a 1975 2F in it to POwer Steering using FJ60 parts.
I’m not interested in Saginaw...
Thanks
Diagram helps
I added a canister and Plumbed or replaced all the vacuum lines.
No fuel smell! I won for now
I did notice my fuel lines prob need to be replaced soon , but that will be a project for another day!
