Update:
Replaced overflow hose and radistor is now partially sucking coolant back in.
It also had negativd pressure differential still, as well. So its sealed. Its gotta be in the overflow or how the radiator cap is mating with the radiator...
yeah it's on the the ugliest parts, but I just cant justify money to change the look. I saw these coming out of overland expo last year. looks super utilitarian imo...
Toyota/Lexus has never been known for innovation, but for reliability. I've always thought that Toyota let's all the other manufactures come out with the "gimmicks" first and if there's any traction, Toyota may do the same, albeit, several years...
I always thought it was peculiar Lexus reintroduced Altezza/clear looking tail lights for '14+ 460 when that trend had already fallen out of favor in most of the industry 5+ years before. I had them stock way back on a '02 Maxima.
You didn't ask me specifically, but I'm on year 3.5 with mine on and no major issues to speak of. Did replace some rusty hardware but that's minor. I recently had the spare off and inspected the door (from the outside) and found no metal fatigue...
First off, and I can only speak for CA, to the letter, beadlocks are not legal, but never heard of anyone being sited for them.
The problem that CA has with them is that they assume that beadlock owners will not be diligent enough to ensure ALL...
Have you considered a wheel such as a Method Beadgrip or ICON Rebound? I'd personal pick the ICON out of the two for ease of wheel dismounting.
FYI beadlocks are not usually DOT approved for highway use.
I have an old duffel bag right now. It works great, although I do get a lot of concerned people waving me down about a bag hanging out of my vehicle. Hanging a bag this way does allow for dust to get in the vehicle at the rear window where the...
Just wanted to show the switches I'm using. These seem to be decent. The Fire/EMS is a custom text version and wasn't cheap. 😆
I'm going to replace the side lights switch with an LED light bar one at some point.
Just a heads up, Jake (WTITW) some time ago asked if one of those trash-a-roo's could go on the back swing-out door without any spare, ladder, just hanging off the rear door.
I took mine and did just that as an example. I opened the rear window...
I've also got a Thule Motion XT - XL, but in place of the stock crossbars, I went with Yakima EZ Rider towers and the Yakima round bars.
This gives me plenty of clearance. And like you, the crossbars and box are rock solid.
Hah that's just how I roll on the daily. If we're out it's packed and the roof is packed too. I've got different setups for different trips (fishing, just camping, both, etc). I travel a lot for work too so the fridge comes in handy even when I'm...
With the ladder, you can now add a Trash-a-Roo, although I've found this to be a little better product: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VTNPFC7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
You can easily strap it to your ladder for extra carry on space...
