The extra 6” can only add to the usability and if done right isn’t noticeable. IMHO Aqualu doesn’t scream restoration so any mods if done clean and well planned can’t hurt.

I purchased this piece from the classifieds here because it was a bargain. I originally bought the foam from McMaster Carr, I think this was it. I used chalk line dust in the foam to help it slide on, others have used baby powder, I think.
