Unscrew the zerk and the driveshaft will compress just fine. AND you will have exactly the right amount of grease inside the shaft when you’re done! :idea:

I got the new drag link end installed. Spec is to tighten the rear screw until seated and then back-off 1/2 turn. I'm trying to sort out what 'seated' means since there is a spring involved. Do I simply hand tighten (minimal spring compression)...

@elkun1 has an interesting setup in his 40, after I saw that at night it was a no brainer. Just a tad bit of light under the dash and around the feet would be great. Did you see what @Pighead put under his 55? That looked pretty nice.

3rd time was a charm. It was HOT though, mid 90's, dry as a furnace fan in Phoenix Arizona. The dry fly action was hot too.

I got my E-Brake totally rebuilt and ready to reinstall along with a new T-Case rear seal. All Toyota OEM parts.

Seated like above. Hand tightening by grasping the chisel/screwdriver blade and turning until tight, then backed off. Driving to get lunch the steering seems normal.

I love my auburns...been running them for decades, and they're great for what I use them for.
