In other news, my broker in Miami informed me that I received a big crate from Colombia🥳🥳.I can say so far that the man is legit. I can't say anything yet about the quality and workmanship, but first thing first... he sent it and it was fast...
I went to see it.... it is quite the "rust bucket". If you guys think the one I'm working on had shoddy work done to it, this here thing is even WORSE !!!
That thing is in horrible shape..... but it's free, right ? Here are more pics
Surprised no one posted these yet......

I had to take another look at the rockers that I posted above and I didn’t realize that they did not have the lip.
I believe that the radius is different between the pre and post 79 rocker/door?
What is the story with the blue 45? Did you go pick it up and have you been driving it around? I’m glad to see some progress on the 4-door, too. You have been through a lot and it will be so cool to see you and the crew driving it down the road...
The company in Colombia seems legit so far. I've had great communications with the guy and he sent me pics of the parts being packaged into a wood crate. I received a FedEx tracking # . Tracked it. It has not left for Miami yet , but seems like i...
You guys are not gonna believe this😮
I just received a message from a friend . Says that he found something that might interest me...... I said what ? Here his answer
Not me, currently not in possession of a running solid axle Toyota. Lol. But I'll make it to SAS eventually. Long story short, ADHD took hold again and I changed to doing a 45 haha. Been working on the cab this summer, just got these corners I...
Well I didn’t know anything about links or the calculator, but I made a lot of trips back and forth between packaging and calculating…. no laptop with excel. It can be overwhelming. One step at a time, divide and conquer.
People get really...
X2 on this advice. I’m at 80-85% AS/AD and I am super impressed with the performance. It all came down to packaging for me, otherwise I would have been around 90-100. I don’t need it to be any different for my driving style and comfort, plus I...
I live in the rustbelt and I love my Aqualu cruiser. It is my DD through the winter months and I have a roadster to drive in the summer. My 40 has a full tub with cowl, windshield frame, running boards, aprons, fenders, and front bib. The...
I love getting accused of not thinking things through LOLOL Or That's never going to work. Today I finished up the air dam. Using strap steel sandwiched between the lower frame horns Now they are drilled out so I can adjust the angle of the air...
Don’t grind those welds down too far like I did. I made my metal so smooth that I didn’t need much body filler but the welds cracked in a few places after one year of driving.
I still love driving it, just life is in the way. Work gave me a shared commuter, so I don’t need to drive my junk as much. Nothing to complain about, just less reason to drive the 40. Funny thing is less driving means less desire to work on it...
I could be wrong but I think that @fjdiesel had the green stretched 40 with the Mercedes diesel under the hood and was camped in the RV near the office. Matt #3 also?
Smoke wrench heat works really well. I watched a guy in Iowa pull the hinges off of three windshield frames in a row. Every single screw came out.
Hint: propane torch isn’t hot enough. Mapp gas or oxy acetylene for the win.
