Thanks, I did check the cap and couldn't find any cracks. It's in pretty good cond as is the rotor button and points. Any other ides as to cause? If it won't affect performance of anything i'm not concerned. Just thought it was a bit unusual. Cheers, Mark

Hi yeah, sorry for being stupid. Upon inspection the hose is connected to the top of the front axle. I guess a breather? Any idea why this would be blocked off? Surely won't serve it's purpose like that.

Oh, the other thing i forgot to mention is that there is a frequent crackling noise coming from the canister (vapour escaping?). It's quite audible (first time i heard it i thought it was an electrical short), is this normal?
