Ok, just finished my install…31 mins start to finish, with two battery post disconnects and kick plate removals (don’t forget to connect the ground wire after plugging in the plug!)….super easy install and night and day results! Let me figure...
Oh baby, empirical data analysis gets me all hot and bothered :flipoff2: Nice job amigo, and look at that footrest though .
I'll have to do a comparo with my Dorman regulator on the driver window against these numbers to see where I...
My 80: 1996, 252k miles, new PS window rack & motor from Rock Auto ~4yrs ago, sunroof rack removal and rebuild ~5yrs ago, new Odyssey AGM27P (850CCA, 85AH) a month ago showing 13.7v at rest, engine OFF. I use the sunroof almost every time I drive...
They cannot charge and test the system without a working compressor.
If the compressor self destructed and sent metal particles through the system (we call that a burnout) $1300 would be in the ballpark. These are not easy systems to flush as...
How much fuel did you add to the tank? I would think a quart of gasoline would not go far to fill the Fuel lines, the return line and the pump - but you said it ran fine.
Recall that the pump is cooled by the Fuel, so might be a good step to...
Just a thought, as your chronology of events is a little hard to follow, but changing a Radiator doesn't require disconnecting anything on your A/C system, if they knew what they were doing. If you had working A/C prior to that - and after that...
A leak definitely wouldn't cause the compressor to fail since there is a low pressure switch built into the system that disables the compressor when there isn’t enough freon in the system.
I’m not too familiar with an 80 series setup but if it...
I just installed mine... took about 15 min... stupid simple. cut the time in half, it's about 80* today and down it took about 3.5 seconds, up it took almost 6. (that was rolling all windows up at once... I did that because that was when I...
Thanks to a member sending me a link to this thread!
The Window Rocket is my product.
I'll start by answering a few questions-
Austin didn't do anything sneaky in his video. He's a stand up dude and calls it like it is. I told him about the...
Not to point things in a different direction, but have you checked to be sure your Heater Control Valve is entirely closed? Just a few weeks ago, I checked mine and it was slightly open allowing hot coolant to move through the heater core all the...
If anything ever went wrong with it, just reinstall the original Relay and you're back to slow windows. Seems like an easy 🍌 mod for someone willing to give it a try.
It appears to be a 12V to 15V 30A DC to DC Step Up Regulator: Example $65.54
The extra $229 is for the bracket, relay, and relay extension.
Amps will stay the same, but voltage increases by a couple of volts = increased power. P = VI.
The...
I had a Ron Davis, a CSF, a 93+ TYC( Yes it fits my 3FE, 2 Lilands.
I still have my Liland 2 core alum. and it cools every bit as good as my $2000 Ron Davis...might not look at pretty, but i definitely would stay away from CSF copper/Brass...
Just wanted to provide an update. Ended up replacing the radiator with OE, all hoses, new clamps, Toyota Red Coolant - truck is running great. I was surprised to see how beat up the old radiator was, but perhaps that is typical. The new one...
I'd look at the Idle Air Control Valve. If it's stuck in the fully retracted position when the engine is warm, it's letting air bypass the throttle body and the plenum is too lean. This causes the ECM to dump more fuel and results in exhausting...
Dude, don't use pliers - you risk breaking the glass. Removing the door cover isn't that hard and then you can slide the window glass up from the bottom. It's actually pretty easy once you can get ahold of it.
Hey everyone, I've always been a lurker here during my ownership of my 2005 4x4 Sequoia. Now, with a recent purchase of a 1996 LX450 with 256k I felt like it was finally time to register! There's already so much information here and I cannot wait...
Is Fuel Filter on your list anywhere? There's one near the Upper Intake Manifold that is often missed. When Fuel Filters clog up, they can lead to poor flow resulting in lean ignition, intermittent fuel flow (*which changes when driven as the...
