Just to close the loop on this, I have had the car for about a week now, and it the shifting has gotten better. I'm not really sure why, maybe it had been sitting for a while? Regardless, it is fine now. I'll continue to monitor it. Thanks.

I have the same problem and have generously lubricated the window channels with no luck. I am wondering if the semicircle gear on the regulator is rubbing as pointed out by @aharlan001 above? When the weather gets warmer, I may look at removing more door panel to check... Lee 2000 LC
