My Rubithon 2025 scorecard:
17 days away from home.
6180 miles driven from driveway to driveway towing an M416 with my 1997 LX450. She drank an additional 2 quarts of oil for the round trip. I can live with that.
Damage: Scratched the...
Other than the dust, it was a good time. Truck never really struggled with anything. Hats off to the organizers, trail leaders, and everyone else involved. Luckily, I found some Meguire's leather wipes at Walmart in Salt Lake. That was a close...
Thank you again to everyone for making this a great trip, everyone working together made it great. Enjoyed the week with everyone and hope to see all of you again on a trail somewhere.

Wow, great week. Did get to meet Woy & Jonheld, two really nice guys who threw down & traveled cross country to attend, thank you. Hope we lived up to the expectations. Didnt get to wheel with them or properly check out the rigs, next time...

The tach is driven from igniter pin 4 (IG-) solid black wire.
I have never put a scope on those, so I can't tell you if they look right or wrong.

I use Excel. A single spreadsheet with tabs for each event. Copy the basic supply tab to the end, change the name, edit as you see fit. Color coded cell styles for easy identification. Simple, quick, effective.
Been using the same file since 2007.
This right here is the key to driving a 30 year old 80 Series.
Folks should also do the math. Assuming no variation in ground speed over a distance of 100 miles, the time difference between 65 mph and 75 mph is 12 minutes.

Mine is also my DD. 15K to 20K per year.
I have 379K on it now, original HG done at 145K.
Yes, I run up to and will hold 4000 RPM on mine, but doing that for a long run will burn more oil. My valve seals are getting old and weak (as yours...
