Added a 270 Awning to the 200 for my upcoming trip to Wyoming. If you know about this brand (TopOak Overland), they are one of the more affordable suppliers of RTT's and awnings but the build quality of both the RTT and Awning surpassed my...
There’s a new car wash in town for adventurous LC/LX owners.
Uses pure rocky mtn water.
Unfortunately it’s on Black Bear Road, and the town is Telluride.
And they are already building a new car wash using higher water pressure so you can open...
I run the Rhino Rack stuff on my LX. Pioneer platform in the summer and three 65" crossbars in the winter. Best of both worlds in my opinion.
I had two issues with the platform in the winter. 1, the skis had to be in the rack as singles as the...
Probably the same way that I read T connectors as T nuts. Trying to multitask at work doesn't always go as planned.
This project really isn't that difficult. The hardest part was building it in my head. Once the aluminum and brackets came in...
@eatSleepWoof is correct. They are usually T shaped, hence the name, but I thought these would be a bit stronger. It’s most likely overkill but it didn’t add much to the cost so I used them to prevent any flexing of the joint.
I actually LOVE it.
Sorry, I wasn't clear, my question was in reference these parts: "3 - T connectors for 8020"... where did you need/use those? Sorry, trying to visualize. Thanks!
Thanks! I'm still very happy with it.
As for the T nuts, they were installed in the plywood from the top down but before the foam or carpet was put on. You can see them in post #5...
First ride was great but it's going to take a bit to get used to it. Other than a couple rides a year on my wife's Tallboy 3, my primary mountain bike is a single speed Ti hardtail. Not much overlap in the Venn diagram between the SS and the...

Edit: it's tensioned, dished and trued now and on the bike. Excellent wheel. I used the old hub (from a cheap Kooser chinesium wheelset -- hub is 15g heavier than the Hope Pro 5 they copied) but went from aluminum rim to a wider...
Did a bike-packing trip with my kids and a few of their college friends. Got in ~200-miles and +12,000-feet climbing over four days on portions of the Tour Divide and in Glacier NP.
