FYI, I have a complete factory underfloor tire carrier sitting in the garage, recently removed in order to install a Long Range America 42-gallon auxiliary ttank (story and pics coming soon.) It's yours for the price of shipping. Gotta keep those...

Can you take a look at the overflow tank after getting the motor up to temp to see if the tank is overfilling while hot and overflowing? It could be as simple as needing a few new radiator cap.
I experienced the same issue in the overflow...
I second bending the brake line up yourself. It’s so easy, even a girl can do it.
Just kidding, but it is easy and relatively inexpensive to do yourself. I helped bend up and install all new hard lines in our ‘75 fj40. You can get good NiCop...
It looks like it's 47327-60080, but that looks like it's for a 92-95 80 series w/abs. But I've been known to be wrong. But you can also make your own hard line.
I made my own hard line for the front line on my 81. It wasn't bad at all. Bent it...
As of a couple years ago you could still get the OEM foam from Toyota. Here is a thread with the part numbers and a good how to on replacing them yourself:

Just picked up this '94 80 series yesterday. It drives great! I have a short list of maintenance I'd like to do to start. The rear passenger wheel bearing needs attention, the transfer case has a minor leak, which I knew when I agreed to buy it...
Just my 2 cents, the most important thing I'd bring on an overland trip would be a cell phone with AAA on speed dial, and a HIGH LIMIT credit card for all the other problems you my encounter.
That one.
When our trips were with my wife in the FJ40 and me in the K5 Blazer, we’d carry things like spare front axle shaft assemblies. But we were more ‘adventurous’ in those vehicles. And got to use those spare axle shafts, as well…
In the...
I do frequent road trips in my 97 LX450, and I can't agree more with what @george_tlc stated.
This past June I drove from Jersey to the Lake Tahoe area, ran the Rubicon, went to SLC to visit the LC Heritage Museum, went north through Grand Teton...
Ditto: I would try to find a better used pipe or even a new pipe (diesel version is still available last I checked).
Is that the original pipe or a replacement from a salvage yard? Either way it's in rough shape.
But if you must get it back on...
Thanks for the feedback and insight to the insurance company shenanigans. I have receipts for everything which add up to the $15-$20k range. The truck was completely refreshed over the past 2 years. Engine, suspension, steering, fuel and...
I recently went through this with my 94 Toyota pickup. I've done collision repair for 20 years and know how the insurance companies operate, they'll want to take the cheapest route to close the claim. I'd bet money that they will want to total...
Wasn't this weekend, today technically. I have slowly been replacing the wiring in my dual battery setup to 1 gauge wires and now I am working on the grounds. I made three today, the firewall and the two on the drivers side that attaches to the...
If you use the double nut method (see video below): using a ratcheting box wrench help things move faster.
Or, if you want quick and easy you can use a stud remover (socket) and an impact wrench, zzzipp and they're out. If you don't have an...
I usually double nut method.
Where you tighten the nuts to themselves on the threads and use the nut on the inside to untreated the stud.
I hope that makes sense, if not a video can help.
