Sounds good. I've run 7.50r16 and the last 15+ years 235/85r16 on my ancient patrol (in oz). I've not ever felt that wide tyres would have enhanced anything. Those skinny tyres have taken me through a LOT of WA and some of NT/SA. Lot's of desert...

Brazil made them under license for a while after Japan stopped making them. They did make some odd changes to them. Not to mention the usual kind of South American shenanigans that happen to these trucks.

Yes it will fit, it was fitted in both LHD and RHD.

I have a 1981 FJ42 right hand drive with a 3B. Could this engine and transmission be put into a left hand vehicle without major issues?

l've found folk either come up & ask if l'm in the ute, can l take a picture of the truck or slyly do so....which l don't mind. Its the thumbs up & smiles the ute gets which makes my day.....

Thanks I will try that! I'm soon in need of the seals. Friday the frame gets riveted. So I'm in preparation. Very much looking forward to get the wheels on. Big milestone I think. Does someone just of the bat know if the bump stop is also riveted?
