After you run them a few days, couple hundred miles or so, recheck the torque. You may need to do this 2-3 times before you reach the point where re-torquing remains tight.
^This. I'm running two 80 series rear axle bearings in gear oil. For both I initially filled the axle housing until full, then parked on a slope and allowed gear oil to run into the hub. Reoriented the 80 to do the same for the opposite side...

My impression after having run 4 sets through all types of road and terrain, interstate, 2 lane, back road, dirt/gravel county roads, logging roads, sand, mud, rock in Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, New Mexico, Arizona is that...
Drove the LX450 to a meeting in Chattanooga, TN today. A total of ca. 250 miles knocked out and with the throttle body, TPS, and cables dialed in plus having the timing set properly it is running very good. Previous mileage with retarded...
You eliminate the bracket and rubber cushion and use a center bolt spacer that fits around the exposed center pin and within the larger hole in the spring plate Center Bolt Spacer - Stainless Steel - Fits 6x Applications (CROUTSSCBS) -...
so my son sees me wearing a very old carhart jacket, worn out cuffs, saddle blanket inside, says 6 months ago some guy wearing pants with elastic at ankles would have paid big money for your jacket. i said that jacket ive had for years, so guys...
This adventure is complete. Leg 4 of the great western adventure trip Compared to the great distances we traveled the last 3 legs, 615 miles does not seem like much but it was a lot of great riding in the San Juan range

Yeah, right? Let’s keep going haha!
That wire does get brittle though, with all the manifold heat. The wiring I do on my truck is nice, but not that one … I think it has three butt splices where I’ve cut out brittle areas and replaced them. I...
While driving, perhaps even while stopped, with the radiator fan pushing air through the engine bay I don't think the carb fan would add any benefit.
Putting the carb fan on a switch has benefits and drawbacks. Benefit is that the brittle...
Carb fan to prevent starting issues when hot is a benefit. The fan on my fan no longer works, I think the wire to the sensor is broken. Sometimes after driving and stopping on a hot day, then starting and driving I'll experience a brief hiccup...
I don't think the fuel line insulation helps, probably also doesn't hinder. I've never experienced any fuel related issues running in 90+ heat in the SE US and 100+ heat in SW US.
Sitting at 475 trouble free miles so far.
All of these miles I've been varying the rpms, never staying at one single rpm for very long. What an annoying way to drive - for me and for everyone else on the road. We've been trying to stick to...
