Toyota themselves turbo a number of IDI engines so not to worry there. I would only replace head bolts if yours are TTY. the main thing about IDI with a turbo, and this comes up again and again, is the extra heat in the head, so an intercooler and perfectly running cooling system is a must...

No, I never did the turbo, but if yours is a mark II then the 14B Turbo manifold fits like a glove and you are already half way there.

Just need a bit more tidying up of the heavy wires and cutting off the old roller hawse attachments. Got to pull the lot again as the bumper needes painting and the winch needs rebuilding ( not free spooling very freely)

I had to remove the grid to get some grass off the radiator and then this happened. don't ya just know it The old pack sat on top of the bumper and was, in the way, frying in the sun, and badly wired ( PO obviously). So I rewired and put it under the bonnet ( Hood) . On the 76 HZ it fits...

A little off topic, but this may be relevent to all, and the thread! Could this advance mechanism be so worn that one cannot set the advance using the stipulated method. I have worked on two rotary pump engines where, try as i might, i could not set the advance, and resorted to using the marks...

What I am curious about is: If you have an isolated version in yer grubby little paw, can you short the two negatives and make it an non isolated version???? I could not find this info on the Victron site.
