I'm looking for any place I could buy smaller diameter exhaust flanges.
I can find plenty of 2" or larger, but this is for the stock Saturn exhaust. The rest of the exhaust is in good shape, I just want to weld on a new set of exhaust flanges at the joint behind the cat.
Any suggestions?
I recently ran across this website while doing a casual search of the same topic: www.isuzudieselswapper.com
It mentions a 700R4 and 4L60, not sure about the TH400, I'm not too familiar with GM transmissions, but it might be a good place to start.

I vaguely remember seeing a setup like this a long time ago. I thought the triangular plate bolted to the back of the compressor, and acted as a brace, with the other end bolting about 1/3 of the way back on the head.
The large hole in the middle of the plate was to get a plug wire through...
May want to check your local auto parts store if you've got a decent one. My local NAPA can order them, and Bumper2Bumper had some on the shelves and can order some also.
I've read about several people using 4" square tube. It looks like a pretty close match, if you're not doing a serious resto. Thats what I'm planning on using to fix mine (someday ).
Mark, do you use the spindle/bearing setup for the pivot, or the solid stock with slip fit piece of DOM (and maybe a brass bushing)? Since that bumper is bolted to the rear crossmember, any issues with that amount of combined weight? Have you added supports/braces where the crossmember...
Good three part writeup here by Mark Whatley, there was also a similar Trails article awhile back. Covers a lot of water crossing issues.

Since you can handle the manifold mods, MPI would be a great way to go. Megasquirt seems like the obvious choice. Any setup is going to require some PCM programming/tuning, so you're no worse off with Megasquirt vs. Jeep/GM/etc.
For a farm truck, avoiding computer controlled ignition seems...
Diagnosing oil pressure problems without an accurate gauge is a waste of time.
Not sure how cold you are, but 5w30 is generally too thin for an F-series engine.
I would also diagnose the lower temps separately from the oil pressure issue. Reminds me of the first oil change I did on my...
I'm planning on picking up one of these Bussman fuse holders soon to do some rewiring. It uses metri-pak style connectors with the seals and has a sealed cover. Product lit says weatherproof (not waterproof, but good enough for me).
I can't get a direct link, but here's the info.

A couple years ago when my rubber oil lines went, I bought the Specter lines. When I changed them out I noticed that the Specter lines seemed smaller in diameter, smaller than the fittings even. So while a line larger than the fittings won't help, a line smaller than...
I seem to vaguely remember something about Canadian cruisers have the PS pump in the same place. I noticed the e-bay Cruiser is an import, so maybe its a non-US thing. As such, I would assume it doesn't have an air pump. Notice also the older style F air cleaner.
If you want it up there...
