    Oil pressure gauge dead

Don't know about the stock wiring but do know about Toyota guages in general....they stink. They're really nothing but dummy lights. Get a mechanical and make it fit. You'll actually be able to see your pressure vary with RPMs. Think of it as insurance. And do it now!

    Shakle Lift/Stock Sagging Springs Good/Bad?

Save your money for new springs. Extended shackles change your pinion angle and steering geometry. This can be corrected with castor shims, but then you have to remove the springs from the axles....new u bolts, longer centering pin, a bit of labor and money. Even with shims you can end up...

    K&N...Worth It????

You'll hear a million opinions on this one. Use Search, this has been rehashed many times. People don't like how oil gets sucked in with air. People don't like how there's less filter area. People think they let too much dirt in. People also think they give you more horses or better fuel...

    New Owner Intro

Even better, hook up with the San Diego TLCA Club, Beach and Toys. They're on yahoo groups. They go wheeling all the time close to S.D. And if you ever have any problems with your rig they can point you in the right direction. I'm new to this area too, and they helped me! Nice group of...

    Trimming U-Bolts

Cut em off ragged. U bolts are designed to stretch when installed. Thats why you have to re torque them a few times. If you ever remove them they should be replaced! They're just not designed to be reused.

    H55 tranny install

Had a similar problem when I did my swap. New everything when I did mine. The tranny just wouldn't quite slide in. And I was doing it on a lift with a real tranny jack! Last time I did a clutch it was on the side of a road in the mud... Anyhow, make sure the tranny is in nuetral and try...

    grille guards or bull bars

Changing tire size effects your overall gear ratio. Most people regear their diffs to compensate. I ran 31s with stock gears no problem, but went to 4.56s when I went to 33s (will cover 35s too). Learn to use the search. Almost any question you could have has been answered already...

    Rearend Tick

You sure its not coming from the bellhousing? Sometimes the throwout bearing will 'tick'. Useually happens when the clutch fork wears down its pivot allowing for a little play. Remove the inspection cover and inject a little grease inbetween the fork and pivot and see if it goes away.

    grille guards or bull bars

If you don't like jokes you're on the wrong site! :flipoff2: But good bumpers and sliders will save your rig from serious trail carnage. If you're not always wrecking your truck then you're not wheeling hard enough!
