I bent the 90 corner first, then the 180 loop squishing in a vice then bent the loop around a large socket that was a bit smaller than the final size. Then I cut off the rest of the rod with a 1mm cut off disk in a grinder.
It was all done by eye-ometer, no measurements were taken!

Have you considered using a bolt in trans hump cover plate from a 55 or a later 47?
I didn't have any of those so I made mine :)
If you need just the housing I have the alloy one off mine sitting about.
That's not right. The reservoir should be open to the master cylinder bore only with the piston fully retracted so fluid can return from the brakes back to the reservoir. Any amount of travel on the master piston should close off the port to the reservoir and force fluid to the wheels.
It is...
I'll add a vote for the power probe 3, it can show voltage and you can load rest the grounds to 8 amps without breaking it and power up loads to quickly check if it's a wire or load fault. :)
The sealing is done on the face of the tube against the bottom of the bore of the fitting so it is fine that there is spare threads showing.
The caliper fittings seal with a copper washer on the shoulder of the fitting unlike this one so have a shorter thread.
