Wow, was looking for the answer to same question for same rusted line and arrived here. Anyone know where 77256B terminates? And is it possible to replace tube 77256 with a used or new OEM line, or will I have to bend this marvelous piece of spaghetti?

Replaced the rusted out rear heat shields. Of course, all six bolts broke removing the old ones.

Good info, Ian, and I think you are right, Jim, it may have been 83+. I also thought maybe my axle had been swapped but there is no way. Probably has more to do with model year changes and the assembly line getting parts for the coming year change. I just made a bracket for mine in the end...

You will want to get inside the birfs just to check the bearings anyway. Rebuild kits are not that expensive and lots of tutorial here. Dirty job, but pretty satisfying when complete, and not as complicated as it looks.

31s will have less unsprung weight and seeing these trucks are slow enough as is..... On the other hand, what @wngrog has done to many trucks is hard to beat: Yokohama geolander m/t 235/85-16 = 31.73" 255/85-16 = 33.07" or 255/85r16 Cooper AT’s on 16x6 FJCO wheels

Pull off that mad-hatter plumbing and replace with OEM. Check the parts diagrams to see what you need. See how hard it is to remove the fitting from the case, use heat if it's stubborn, careful of fire with that grease. Doubt it has a permanent hold. Those C-channels need replacing. @TRAIL...

Awesome work. That carpet, however, does not deserve to go back into your truck. Get new carpet. Not that expensive and you will forever be thankful for installing new. @dnp sells a perfect-fit carpet in your OEM colour. Easy install too.

Mine have been on for a year and have settled very little. Also removed one leaf, front and back, from each spring (bought the HJ61-7L and HJ61-6L). Running with Bilstein B6 4600 shocks and absolutely love the ride.
