LT315/75 Geolandar X-AT installed today. Very nice tires, deep voids with an all terrain tread pattern. Looking forward to getting some miles on these especially trail miles.
Last two sets of tires on the 80 have been BFG KM2 and then the...
On the more tech side of things, over the summer I was preparing to do an oil change
But when I climbed under the car, I saw this:
Now, there comes a time in every Landcruiser owner's life when he/she needs to tackle the front axle seals...
Hi all,
Long-time reader but first time poster. Sorry my first post is self-promotional. I have gained a lot from this forum over the years tooling around on my 1997 80 Series but haven't posted because I've been recovering from my...
We've done two of these using the FJ Co bellhousing, and would absolutely do them again if the parts were available. In the 60, it did allow for keeping the transmission sitting in its mount and not having to redo anything in the drivetrain. We...
I attempted to change the starter contacts today until I got the MF out and opened it up.
That’s when I realized I forgot to order one half of the contacts.
Should have read George’s write up again B4 I ordered the parts. 😂
Oh well, half...
I see the Escape Gear seat covers come in Grey or Charcoal. Which is closest to the factory Toyota grey leather seats and trim? Does anyone have any experience trying to match this?

Haltech (the 750 won't run knock sensors) or ECU Masters EMU Black.
Sniper is just a glorified carb. Real EFI with the injectors near the ports, is the one true path.
I have one, and have already scanned it.
I am a total fan of the 1fz. You have the distance between the back of the transmission and the rear end to squeeze an H150/151/152(with input swap) in there. That may be the best move.
You can either agonize through the 1fzfe wiring process...
Found a replacement for the tensioner on the 1fzfe, this one is ratcheting like the old style found sometimes on the early 93-94 fzj80. Going to put it in and will report back with my findings. I will share the part number If it works out. Trying...
I have been looking at the forecasts backwards and adjusted my thought process. For instance yesterday we had a 70% chance of no
rain and we have a 50% chance of no rain today. It's not so much of a letdown if you look at it this way.:meh:
There is always SLEE but likely not easy just to stop in to get something worked on. If you don't mind going to Loveland, I have had good luck with these guys. The owner is a good guy and can likely get you in quick if needed. He always has loads...
Thanks!! This is the freakiest thing. Started with just the taillights, then the dash lights, tach, voltage guage and now the climate control...all fuses are good...super crazy!
